I got an email from Hewey yesterday that contained some photo’s of his much loved Von Franco Taboo Tiki cruiser and it reminded me of one of my big regrets. Why didn’t l grab one 8 or 9 years ago when they were released? Now they really are hard to find. Cool bike from a great Tiki artist.

About this bike…

  • Made by Dyno. 2001

Hewey has added hibiscus whitewalls, ape hanger handlebars and the most important performance feature…a rear rack with a picnic basket bolted on.

Check out the photo’s, this bike really gets around.

Thanks Hewey

Cheers CN

I have one!! Nice bike!! Still gives a smooth ride!! The glowing skull on mine broke off during my move from SoCal to Denver back in late 2004, (The mount cracked) and I haven’t been able to remount it without it popping back off. Used epoxy and everything. So the green tiki takes up a place of honor on my chatchki shelf.

Von Franco’s a cool dude, he came to one of my art shows back around 2001. He hails from Riverside, Ca..my hometown.

    Hang loose!! ;-)
