I have been using Bum’s books for many years and each one gets better. To actually drink a 1934 Zombie is a real joy, and all thanks to the Bum. I had the pleasure of meeting him at Rum Fest 2009 in London, and the man is a true gentleman and did a fantastic presentation.
All hail the Bum and getting mixing those drinks!

I’m with you on this one Shane. Maybe a short lecture tour would solve the problem. Something that we could all be part of… industry or otherwise, just the true believers.

It would be great to see the Bum make it out to Australia. Although, not being in the “business”, I would hope it was for a public engagement rather than a trade show. It’s a shame we don’t have any vintage Tiki Establishments for him to sample though.

Great interview CN. It’s a shame that it wasn’t a bit longer.
Having own both GROG LOG and INTOXICA it was good to get a bit of an insight into how The Bum got started,as this isn’t mentioned in the books. He is definitely a huge asset to the tiki community and had he not invested so much in producing these books, who knows what we would be drinking right now.
I’m really looking forward to Remixed being released to learn more about the history and stories behind Tiki Drinks,and also to see what wonderful new concoctions there are to try.
